| The access of
Central and East European Thyroidologists to international medical and
endocrinological journals is rather limited. So I was pleased with the
idea of MERCK KGaA Darmstadt to launch a new thyroid journal "The Thyroid
Gland - Clinical and Experimental". This journal aims to extend the publication
possibilities in Central and Easter Europe as well as to disseminate the
thyroidological information (psychology, diagnostics, therapy). It is of
course open for authors from all countries. Please see the instructions
for authors.
I am happy that several thyroidologists from Central and Eastern Europe (Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, see cover) have joined the Editorial Board and I sincerely hope that we shall contribute toward the health of people. Prague, Feb. 22. 1996 V. Schreiber
