Delbert A. Fisher MD, is Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine Emeritus. He is a
well known internationally recognized pediatrician with a special interest in
endocrinology and in particular in thyroidology. His research in the thyroid field
has touched almost every basic and clinical aspect. Dr Fisher published more than
440 peer reviewed original and review papers, authored or co-authored about
130 book chapters and 10 books. He has served on many national and international
committees and scientific bodies as officer or president. Among other things he has
been president of the Endocrine Society, the American Pediatric Society and the
American Thyroid Association.He received numerous certifications, awards and honours and served on many international scientific journals as editorial board member, editor or chief-editor. In the latter position he served on the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism and Pediatric Research. Dr Fisher is a very popular invited visiting professor and speaker, at home and abroad. |
