Close observation of George Hennemann's thyrostat reveals that
his working point moved towards a very high production rather
early in his scientific career. Remarkably, he somehow managed to
maintain his output at such a high level for 30 years, without
any signs indicating a downward shift in his setpoint with
advancing age. His setpoint must be pretty high as well,
obviously driven by a strong command signal coming from his own
brains and reinforced by input from his dear wife Atie and their
children. Apparently the setpoint is determined by genetic and
environmental factors.
