| Nyström, Göteborg, Sweden, reported that after treatment of hyperthyroidism leading to normalization of thyroid hormone status, a concomitant decrease of energy expenditure occurred. Two months after treatment a gain in weight was observed that was associated with an increase in lean body mass but without a change in adipose tissue mass. |
